The dark web is a part of the internet hidden to browsers like chrome and firefox, and need the onion browser to reach. (URLS have the site name, a string of letters, and a .onion domain)
It is accessed from clearnet sites which contain links to these sites.

Browsing the darknet is not illegal, it's what you do on it is illegal.

On the darknet you can find some fun things like

Buying weapons and finding CP is very difficult, for ethical and legal reasons.

While you can buy most drugs fairly easily, fentanyl is forbidden to sell on mainstream drug markets, for their overdose risk.

Hitmen and human trafficking are nearly nonexistent on the darknet, and only exists (if it does) for a select few with connections.

The "Red rooms" are bullshit. It is impossible to livestream on the dark web because its so fucking slow

Users use something called PGP (Pretty good privacy) to encrypt messages.

Transactions are payed for not with bitcoin anymore, but with monero. Bitcoin is traceable, Monero is not.

People use tails OS, which when you shut it down, your computer returns to the exact same state as when you booted tails up before.

A place that cannot be accessed by your everyday browsers like Google, Internet Explorer or FireFox. Here you are completely anonymous, no one knows who the hell you are, The Dark Web is used by pedophiles, drug addicts, criminals, people wishing someone dead or people who want to visit a country and get some fake cash. They're are many things you can purchase, quite expensive tbh, probably the most notable thing you can buy is a hitman, these cost multiple K and will kill ANYONE, so make sure no one aint got no dirt on you, they can order this on you! Another "enjoyed" offering is 5-15 year old girl sex slaves who have been kidnapped by some sicko, drugs and weapons are common buy too. For some sick motherfuckers, the dark web is the leading porn industry, well sort of, PornHub is legal, Dark Web Porn is not, Why you ask? Well basically, these girls are underage, many of them 11 or 12 some even younger, the thing aswell, these girls did not consent to this, meaning it is rape, some tapes could end with murder of that girl aswell. It is not only girls though, plenty of boys are receiving this awful treatment too. There is also sick fucks fucking dogs and horses and other things which is bloody disgusting. A collection of academics and interviewers who publish work (mostly in print, video, and podcasts) on a variety of subjects including politics, psychology, economics, evolution, physics, Islamic reformation, and comedy.
The group includes (from the political left to right) Bret Weinstein, Sam Harris, Eric Weinstein, Maajid Nawaz, Joe Rogan, Dave Rubin, Jordan Peterson, and Ben Shapiro, as well as others.
Most members of the group have been actively publishing work for years, sometimes decades, but the group came to prominence as a whole in the time after the election of Donald Trump.
Some believe the group belongs to the alt-right, but evidence for this claim is scarce because so many members fall into the traditional progressive category.

The Dark Web is often confused with The Deep Web . The Dark Web can be accessed via Tor Browser. The Dark Web, is not accessible via Google , Firefox , Internet Explorer , Bing and so on, these browser are what we refer to as Surface Web Browsers. You can still access the dark side of the web with a just a computer or phone or tablet, whatever, It's highly dangerous doing so, a Virtual Machine is recommended, to say it simply, the Virtual Machine is a makeshift computer inside you computer, if a virus/malware is contracted, it fucks the Machine, not your computer.
