plural = tryhards.

A person/people who simply try far too hard to fit in with you i.e. over the top laughing at jokes which arent particularly funny, name-dropping etc.

A real life mark that only thinks about getting top rank, Kills themselves over and over and over and over and over to avoid being picked on by a gamer who has better marksmanship then themselves. They bore to death stalking blowing up ya stuff, etc. Never thinking of how far down in that list of videos they have to search to show they have killed you 12-0. (No one cares) they still have wild dreams of becoming a success.

Up 1 zip cut them down they leave session come back go ghost snipe u, you find them and as soon as your about to Cinnamon Toast Crunch this lil ****... boom he explodes himself.... yeah GTA Tryhard.

A person who performs exceptionally well and tries their best 90% of the allotted time in most video games while berating themselves as "garbage" for making even the simplest mistake.

Casual Tryhard: "Damnmmit I died cause I wasn't paying enough attention to the spawns... I'm playing like garbage right now."

Friend: "Dude you were on a 10+ streak with a 2.5 K.D and I'm negative right now! Casual tryharding dickhead..

In regards to recreational activities or video games, someone who must put forth 100% effort to come out victorious. As opposed to someone who doesn't need to do their best to win a game or contest.

Player A: "Yeah we won! Get pwned noobs."
Player B: "Shut up kid, you're such a tryhard. Wait till next game when I rape you."
