pro shippers are sometimes people who are writing dark concepts and relationships for cathartic reasons related to their own trauma, and they are sometimes people who just like dark stories in general because they're interesting. of course there is the occasional pedophile, because that's impossible to avoid, but the majority of pro shippers are just people who care more about respecting opinions rather than sending hate.

They invade spaces made for and by adults & yet can't understand why said adults don't want them around so they make an effort to exclude them from their own space.
They flood abuse tip lines with reports of child abuse, yet the "Child" in question is anime girl from a series that came out 6 years before they themselves were conceived.
And if you live in a country where your queer identity could get you excommunicated from your family and in most cases killed under extreme religious prejudice; your fellow queers can and WILL ensure that you are directly in harms way.
They're capable of the most vitriolic, abhorrent, unhinged behavior from harassment to sending unsolicited gore and/or abuse material of children (don't be alarmed, this is for the benefit of all children; they care, you know?).Despite being lower than cow excrement in terms of intelligence and worth; outside of the interweb you have nothing to fear.
