bait job

A job that is posted by a company and/or recruiter with the intention of never filling the position. Some reasons for this include gathering resumes to "see what's out there" or to make it appear to the public that they are growing more than they actually are. More nefarious motives include harvesting people's personal data or using the job as part of a bait and switch, where people apply for one job but are instead directed towards another, usually less desirable, one during the interview process.

Fooled by another bait job. I applied for "Lead Software Developer" but was told at the interview I'd be a better fit for "Janitor."

Bait bitch

When a female is self motivated, inclined, persuaded , or has other means necessary to seduce or lure another individual into a conversation, destination or situation, that is ultimately a trap where in the aggressor reveals themself in hopes to create a dead end or no escape situation or feeling for the"mark" usually just to portray them as a "cheater" or reveal deceitfull intentions and usually proceeded by emotionally or physically bulling ,harassing, sometimes even assaulting the "mark" to create as much dramatic effect as possible to produce fear, conflict, drama or problems for the "mark" or victim.

That chic totally bait bitched you into going to that party last night just to get you in a fight with her man.

Bait and Switch

One of the more common forms of shitposting. A video with something on the cover that will make you click on it. (eg. an anime girl in a bikini) Then the actual video is a shitpost, usually making fun of you for being a horny bastard or sudden ear rape.

Guy 1: Did you see the new video someone posted in #nsfw? I heard it's really saucy.
Guy 2: It's just a bait and switch. I was expecting boobs but instead got my ears blown off by Scout from TF2.

A form of humor where the audience expects something obvious to happen, but then something else happens/appears out of nowhere.

Bait and Switch Example:

(ASDF)

Bully: "Hey, you four-eyed freak!"

Guy with glasses: "Ah..."

(The screen zooms out, revealing a third person; a midget who LITERALLY has four eyes)

"...Don't listen to him!"

(The guy with four eyes screeches at him)

Bait Box

Noun:
A box used in porch fishing that is placed on a porch or stoop as bait for mail thieves, aka "Porch Pirates" to be intentionally stolen. They sometimes include animal feces, or gross things to add some payback and hopefully deter the thief from stealing in the future.
Some on YouTube have gone more elaborate and built glitter flinging devices and boxes attached to shot shell primers to scare the thief.
