Much like cruising for chicks. Queer Surfing is the act of going out to intentionally meet and possibly take home a queer.

Scene surfer

Urban chameleons. These are the kids you'll see at a rave one night and a punk show the next. They blend in with every crowd, although are not completely accepted by all. Known for being really intelligent and beautiful, although not necessarily in the mainstream sense. NOT HIPSTERS. There's like fifteen or sixteen per town.

A: I saw that kid at the {generic punk band name} show last night! What's he doing going to a jazz club?
C: He's a scene surfer.

Channel surfing but for video game roms. Common for console modders with nothing better to do. They're Likely to only play a game for less than ten minutes before declaring falsely that they shall continue sometime and moving on to the next game. They crave instant gameplay and novelty which leads them to playing many licensed games. Usually they aren't big on rpgs. Afterwards they often come back to a popular game they're familiar with as a form of comfort food.

"Man I've been rom surfing on this genesis emulator for an hour I should really find something and stick to- holy shit there's a tick game!?"
