They make a great family dog, and are also excellent hunting dogs, but can be a bit gunshy. Make a terrible watch dog, sense they love all kinds of people, even potentially malicious ones. Extremely athletic dogs, they love to swim run and wrestle, and are known for ranging as far as 5-6 miles from their respective homes. Great for hunting rabbits and other small game, such as hamsters.
