smoke the turkey

Instead of sex I prefer to smoke the turkey.

After a night out at the bar I like to go home and smoke the turkey.

During office hours my boss likes to sit at his desk and smoke the turkey.

While watching porn I enjoy smoking the turkey.

swum the tiber

Slang meaning, "converted to Roman Catholicism." The Tiber being a river that runs through Rome and thus "swimming" over to the Vatican side.
Guy#1: I've never seen you before, Are you new to this Church?

Guy#2: Yes, I've just recently swum the Tiber.

Guy#1: Oh, congrats, what were you before?

Guy#2: Anglican.

bring the troops home

To get laid.

Normally spoken about a recent event, such as last night or this morning. Also denotes a certain level of glory, and should be celebrated by every comrade present.

If this exclamation sparks a political discussion, you've done something wrong. Or you have lame friends.
Jem: Hey Charlie, that girl you were with last night... did you bring the troops home?

Charlie: Mission accomplished, Jem. I fuckin' brought the troops home.

*Charlie and Jem fist bump*

setting the tea things out

v. phrase. British euphemism for going topless in public. Often used by the upper crust and royalty.

......................................................................................
I say Duchess! Do you judge it wise to be setting the tea things out so early in the afternoon?

Barleybone, you are such a toast browner.

on the train of despair

To be "on the train of despair" means to be single and in pursuit of someone to spend the day and/or night, without the intent of perusing a relationship with that person.

On Valentine's Day the only way to "get off the train" would be to find a date, to give up in the pursuit of finding a date or when the clock strikes midnight and you're all alone.

Related: To be on the desperation train / To be on the train of despair / To be riding the train / To be on the train / To be off the train.
- What are your plans for V-day?
- I'm on the train of despair this year.
- No worries dude, you'll be off the train way before V-day.
