Teenage cynicism

1) Attempting to act detached and “cool” in a way taught to the kids by MTV-affiliated celebrities.

2) A condition often seen among adolescent humans. It typically arises when a individual learns to perceive herself in a objective and rational third-person perspective, but due to her inexperience, fails to appreciate the irony of what existentialist philosophers have coined "The Absurd". The absurd human condition; the understanding of how our lives, on a cosmic scale, are futile and unimportant struggles, yet how we are unable free ourselves from treating our lives with the greatest concern.

Failing to appreciate the irony of her absurd existence, the aspiring teenage cynic then becomes obsessed with damasking the meaningfulness of her own life and the lives of others. This, she believes, will help her reach a more fundamental understanding of something which is somehow more significant and objective than that of her present life. For some people extremely prone to melodrama the condition ends in suicide.

Because the individual believes in the "truth" brought on by stripping away sentimental values culture have taught us to attach to the world, she is often perceived outwardly as cynical. This condition however should not be associated with philosophical cynicism or the kind of cynicism advocated by the likes of (the myth of) Aesop, Oscar Wilde or Dr. Samuel Johnson. The world will often treat the teenage cynic with disdain, confusing her condition with depression or apathy. Trying to solve the problem by offering entertainment of various types, the problem may intensify as the teenage cynic often will be unable to appreciate the entertainment offered, instead deeming it superficial.
Statements someone affected by teenage cynicism would typically say:

Teenage cynic 1: To me it's depressing to think about the fact that life is fundamentally without objective meaning and that one day we will all die (and the universe will end).

Teenage cynic 2: Men running around on a field, competing against each other, trying to kick a ball made out of dead skin in opposite directions. Soccer is for retards.

teenage playground

A playground, typically in an elementary school or park, used by kiddies during the day, but after hours becomes the perfect place for sex, drugs, drinking, and debauchery. Is most often used by teens in the summer, when they can't go home cause their families are there, but don't feel like fucking in the car. Also can be loads of fun to play on when drunk/high/bored. (Also, parking cars in the parking lot is very common with the park, the school, and the church parking lot)
I've only ever been back to my old elementary school to get high... We were there the other day at sunset and there was still a bunch of kiddies around, then the sun went down and WHAM! Teenage playground.

Last Halloween was just and excuse for me and brandon to mess around on the playground in the park. There was kids like 50 feet away though.. I was worried my neighbors would see me. Yikes! Not the best teenage playground, although I found some beers and smokes in the BBQ pit once. Party on AG!

Colin and I christened the seesaw at Rincon Park. There's always someone smoking/drinking/longboarding there. I hear gay patrick gave some guy head in the bathroom. It's a major teenage playground.

Hitting Playgrounds before we fool around has become a major tradition with me and michael, then we go back to the car. We're really into the teenage playground. It's cute.

Teenager

Often want to belong somewhere, or to something at any rate. Most, I admit, are grumpy, rebellious, lo-life. But some are GREEEAATTT!
But please, please, listen to them! They often have a lot of very interesting things to say and are lovely peeps :).
Most definitions are extremely biased, and very hypocritical. They describe teenagers as grumpy, whinging kids. But if you say that, it's something along the lines of: Pot calling the kettle black ;)
No example is necessary as teenagers vary in music taste, clothes taste and opinions

Teenage Gloomies

When a teenager is feeling gloomy for one reason or another. Can deal with love, homework, or other typical teenage problems, like mood swings in general. Will usually pass in a couple days or less. Sometimes lasts longer, the bigger the issue.

Does not have to do with life-changing problems, like parents divorce, death of family members, etc.
Person 1: I was rejected, and now I am feeling sad. Am I getting depressed, like, seriously?

Person 2: No, you probably just have a case of Teenage Gloomies.

or

Person 1: Urgh, I can't control my feelings anymore! I'm going from sad to happy to sad again in a minute! Am I getting some sort of clinical depression?

Person 2: Nah, you just have a bad case of the Teenage Gloomies. It'll pass.

Teenage Boy

Male of the species 13-?(it is greatly unknown until at what age a guy grows out of his instincts of pubescent idiocy). Often identified by moronic immature actions, obscenity , hormones so thick in their blood you can practically smell them, and obliviousness to the world around him.
The other day I watched 3 teenage boys in a shopping cart racing down a dirt hill, they crashed at the bottem.

They still color on the faces in our textboooks. That should've started and ended in 5th grade.

Guys just can't seem to take a hint! would it kill them to pay attention once and a while. The report was due yesterday, we have homework tonight, I smiled, I flipped my hair, I wore your favorite color today, and all you can pay attention to is that racy picture of Megan Fox on your binder.

Teenage Dirtbag

A teenager that disregards laws and rules, not in the pursuit of attention but because they fucking can. Common practices of a teenage dirtbag include reckless behaviour, an "idgaf about anything" attitude and "I do whatever tf I want" mindset.

Examples of this behaviour include:
- Smoking weed in unconventional places
- Consumption of illicit substances
- Trespassing
- Being wasted out of your mind
- Reckless driving
- Vandalism
- Shouting profanities out a car window at other civilians
- The dealing of illicit substances
- Any act that your parents would disown you over etc
Look at that teenage dirtbag hotboxing a tunnel with a makeshift carrot pipe, using a candle to smoke instead of a bic lighter.
