Gamer Girl Syndrome

When a girl acts as though she is God's gift to mankind, simply because she plays games.

When she realizes that nerds and geeks will flock to her and shower her with attention for being a rarity - she does everything she can to ensure she continues to get said attention.

Buying geeky accessories, joining groups like the D20 Girls, posting suggestive + geeky pictures to the Internet, fawning over Magic cards, incessantly talking about D&D, and basically wrapping herself and her identity up completely in being a nerdy/geeky/gamer - solely because it gets her the attention she couldn't get from ANYONE ELSE.

Also known, in other subcultures, as a faker, wannabe, or poser.

John: Dude, did you see the skanky picture Tracy posted of her d20 tramp stamp?
Smith: Yeah, I saw her. I bet she doesn't even know what THAC0 is. She's got a bad case of Gamer Girl Syndrome.

Jock Gamer

A Person who's gaming library consists almost entirely of Madden (and various other sports games) and Popular First Person Shooters such as Halo and Call of Duty. The Xbox 360 is generally their console of choice.

Person 1: Hey you should play the new Legend of Zelda its pretty sweet.
Jock Gamer: Fuck that shit dude I like to pay $60 for the same game every year. Madden 10 baby!!!!

Hardcore Gamer

A person who devotes a large portion of their time towards gaming and gaming variations. A hardcore gamer might often attempt to optimize their playing style, often by the use of gaming gear or mods/addons; this practice is often common for casual gamers, but to some lesser extent.

Jim plays World of Warcraft and devotes the majority of his time to his raiding guild, including altering his real life schedule to suit his guild's needs. Hence, he is, to some extent, a hardcore gamer.
