An exaggerated stepping movement, typically characterized by placing one foot in front of the other in an absurd, roundabout manner. Best demonstrated by by Monty Python's John Cleese, in a sketch about the "Ministry of Silly Walks."

silent laughter

When something is so funny, or you are in a state of such slap happiness, that regular laughter transforms into an almost silent and uncontrollable activity. Usually accompanied by tears, silent laughter is most likely the best kind of laughter. You have to make a conscious effort to remember to breathe as your lungs lose air fast in the process of silent laughing. Your ribs start to ache and you begin to wonder if you'll be physically able to take a deep breath before resorting to more silent laughter. Friends and family may laugh at you in this state, or they may be joining in right next to you. Concerned strangers will stare at you and seriously consider finding you help, or they may just hide you from their children.

After I mentioned an inside joke, I looked over to my friend who was doubled over with silent laughter.

silly o'clock

A time of morning (or night), usually between 3AM - 6AM in the local time zone that requires a person to interrupt normal sleep or waking patterns for often dubious reasons. Often used in reference to extremely early arrivals to airports, or to join business teleconference sessions with participants in multiple time zones. Also see stupid o'clock.

"I don't look so good because I had to be at work at silly o'clock this morning to join a videocon with our development office in Greece."
