The practice of mixing the Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature scales. Typically employed by UK weather reporters using Celsius for winter temperatures and Fahrenheit for summer temperatures, often for sensationalist effect.

Temperatures in August reached 100 degrees (Fahrenheit) but plummeted to minus 12 degrees (Celsius) in January.
