(noun) A variation of "earl" meaning the anti-hero or the noble pirate. The paradox of a good guy that is willing to behave badly or a bad guy that is able to do good deeds.

A person who is willing to do wrong for the right reasons or a just outcome and/or a person who appears righteous but perpetuates evil. (A paradox!)

Errol pissed me off when he did the opposite of what I told him but it still worked in the end.

Errorist

A person who is deluded or simply stupid, making mistakes without the intention of ever acknowledging people's corrections. And the common response to these corrections are often outbursts of utter ignorance, hence the play on the word "terrorist," someone who is potentially dangerous in society by simply being ignorant.

Errorist: I don't care what you say, but Tupac will come back in 07/07/07!!!

schoolboy error

The most basic of errors. An error so simple, and avoidable, that anyone with an ounce of credibility or experience in that field should not be commiting it. A mistake that should only be made by school boys still in training for that particular task. Especially used when referring to playing games of pool in pubs, or occasionally during snooker. Schoolboy error can be heard ringing out by jeering onlookers if for instance a participant missed a sitter = he should have potted it as it as so simple, that thereforehe is reduced to the level of a lowly school boy playing his dad for the first time.

And here comes Keane for the winner....Oooooooh and he's missed, and left the black right over the pocket for Swann to tap in...

Id10T error

Synonym for PEBKAC, e.g. "The user is being an idiot". Tech-support people passing a problem report to someone higher up the food chain (and presumably better equipped to deal with idiots) may ask the user to convey that there seems to be an I-D-ten-T error. Users never twig.
