This usually involves one or more of the following; aliens, bloating, blood, bones, fungi, humiliation, involuntary transformation, parasites, puss, screaming, sex, torture and xenogenesis . It is not for the faint of heart of weak of stomach.

The movie Alien is an example of body horror. So are most of the movies from Cronenberg. And early books from Clive Barker. Honey BooBoo might also count.
