weak layer

A weak layer is used to describe a layer of snow within the snowpack that may be prone to causing a snow avalanche.

Weak layers are caused by changes in snow pack's temperature, snow crystal type and snow crystal deformation resulting from changes in atmospheric conditions and moisture content.

We dug a snow pit on Pucker Face and found a really weak layer that is sure to rip a avalanche on the next bone head who tries to ski it.

Someone who claims to be tough, but runs and hides at just the thought of a mere threat (see mommas boy).
One who picks on people smaller in size because he cannot stand up to anyone his own size.
One who typically picks on small children and women.
One who refuses to hold a job.
One who cries to momma when he gets a paper cut.

He cannot stand up to his mother which means that he is a weak man.

Popularised by a television game show of the same name, where the loser of each round is dismissed by the host with the phrase "You are the weakest link, goodbye!". Used for people who are the weakest/least intelligent/slowest of a group.

Ama Weak

When something is so horribly bad it cannot even compete at the pro level; something that is very weak in an amatuer way. Very similar to weak sauce "Ama" from "amature". Originated in the St. Louis "Ladue Crew" slang.

You're parents were out of town and you didn't have a party? That's ama weak.
