Flip a table

1 - When overcome with anger or frustration you stand up and all the people at your table stand up together. You feel the impending sense that your friends will have your back at whatever is going down. Your rage boils over, you verbally assault the offender, and with no further options-you flip the table in front of you.

2 - In the absence of an actual table, the phrase can be used metaphorically.

1 - ....are you mackin' on my girl?!?! *everyone stands up* 'Foo you better get back.....*flip a table*

2 - This is well vodka....who does this bartender thinks he is? I'm bouts to flip a table!

It’s 6pm on a Saturday. Your mans is late to pick you up for the date that you are finally going on after a year and a half in the “talking” stage. You look out the window pondering life. You realize that he has arrived. As you are driving to the bar for your date Chad tells you that he thinks he may be interested in seeing Nicole after you two are done seeing one another. You’re mad…so mad. So you yell at the driver to pull it over. You get out of the car but you get back in. You and the driver get together then and there. You get married to the driver who is secretly Jeff Bezos.

Chad ends up in jail for laundering money. That is called flipping the table.

Trina totally is going to flip the table on Josh when she gets the promotion.

Table-flipping

Event characterized by a melodramatic gesture at the explosive end of extreme frustration, anger or resignation in which a hothead literally flips a table. Used to indicate that the flipper is ill-equipped to continue rationally, has lost his/her cool, and will no linger sit at, or come to, said table.

After losing his umpteenth hand at poker, and an hour of watching his girlfriend start flirting with the guy winning, Bruce literally lost his chips and resorted to table-flipping.
