Neo-Shitpost

A form of shitposting where the main premise is philosophical intelligence, or intellectual discussion. Under these guises, the neo-shitpost attempts to create an image of surreal or ironic investment in an otherwise asinine topic. It may or may not build up tension to a point of vividly engaging the reader, and then flip back into a regular shitpost or meme.

"I posted a neo-shitpost last night about how weebs are unfairly treated in western culture due to reciprocation of their consumption, ie spouting occasional Japanese phrases un-ironically and such, compared to western media consumers who may quote their favorite lines from movies and receive no negative attention, and even praise for timing such a line with the current situation faced. An example of this would be talking about the Force from Star Wars."

shitpost status

The status reached when you upload many short, low-res, usually worthless videos that are presumably meant to be funny to YouTube, sometimes 20 or 30 a day. Pioneered by channels such as Preston Garvey and jjxmb.

I uploaded a ton of videoclips I found in a meme thread on Discord to youtube, so I guess I've reached shitpost status!

Shitpost status

A format of low quality usually 2-3 second clips consisting of random humour pulled from the depths of discord channels, subreddits but never the person you'd see post it. This trend has been pioneered by such channels as guy with no creativity, in a valiant effort to gain a subscriber count and discord members. This format of video has made its way into the YouTube algorithm and thus is being abused for views.

Guy 1: Have you heard of Shitpost status?
Guy 2: yes, yes I have
