This is a person (who is a low life) who is ripped; however he only obtains this level of ripped from the manual labor job that they are forced to do due to a lack of qualifications or a criminal record. These people generally walk around with their shirt off on mild or cold days to try and show off their scally ripped body.

Originally this phrase meant to attack someone with vicious and overwhelming brutality but, over time the meaning changed to become to reprimand someone so totally and effectively that it effectively destroyed them. If you have ripped him (or her) a second asshole you have administered the ultimate put down.

Popularized in the 1980s, the fashion trend revolves around wearing jeans which are ripped, frayed, bleached or excessively worn. In spite of common sense indicating otherwise, it has continued to remain popular with large segments of teenagers and young adults.

Often bought for outrageous prices in excess of $100 at popular mall clothing stores such as Abercrombie & Fitch.

Why people would pay more for ripped jeans than regular, intact denim jeans is beyond me.
