Raffles Institution (RI), founded in 1823, is the oldest and top-notched secondary school in Singapore for pre-tertiary education. It is an independent school, providing for Year 1 to 4 boys and a Junior College sector for Year 5 and 6 boys and girls from its sister school Raffles Girls School.
Raffles Institution and Hwa Chong Institution are regarded as the best schools in Singapore! However, I have to admit, Raffles Institution is actually a little bit better in terms of grades, average emotional intelligence and scholarship achievements.

The best school in Singapore. The students in Raffles Institution excel in every single field there is, as the line in the school song goes, “To reign supreme in ev’ry sphere”. This school has produced many world-class leaders e.g Mr Lee Quan Yew, who dedicated his success to Raffles Institution and its rigorous all-round education curriculum. If your PSLE aggregate is high enough and meets the demand of the cut-off point of this school, you should definitely place Raffles Institution as your first choice. Trurst me, you will have the most wonderful time in your life studying here at Raffles Institution, in the name of Sir Stamford Raffles.

Raffles Institution is supposedly the best school in Singapore, but the truth is that it is no different from the other schools on the island at all, if not worse in terms of student character and maturity. Most, if not all, of the students there treat other people as if they do not exist and walk with their noses in the air. They also love vandalising public property, and abusing the school's cats. However, nothing warms their cold and undead hearts more than torturing their teachers with loud nonsensical chants, lesson disruptions and disobeying them on purpose, which is the best evidence of how high their emotional intelligence (EQ) level is.

I wanted to attend a raffle since I thought there would be a nice chance considering that they’re the Raffles Institution. They kicked me out just because I got the unlucky number AL13. Worst place to raffle 1 star.
