The person you imagine someone to be. (noun or Title, i.e., "Mr.") We all make assumptions about people we know and may even assume that they are angry with us; but when we confront them about it, they have no idea what we're talking about. We've been having a conversation with their "duende." (From the Spanish word for "elf.")

Duende Todd told me that he didn't like SciFi films, so I never asked Todd to go to see one. Weeks ago, he wasn't feeling well when we watched one, so I interpretted that as him not liking SciFi at all. I apparently was only speaking with his duende. He really enjoys SciFi.

A creepy, older (>45 year old) gentlman (gentlewoman) who stalks and keeps tabs on younger men and women before they hit puberty. Not quite a pedophile as busting a B Duenas does not require sexual acts.

It does require a finesse and technique in recon, spying .

These individuals are very difficult to recognize in the field as they act like regular human beings. However, there are a few signs and tells such as increase in eye size when calling their name, no eye contact when confronting them and terrible humor.

Man, don't be such a B Duenas (or BD).
