Carbon Credits

A SCHEME and a SCAM.

A SCHEME by the rich to continue their polluting guilt free, while the poor will have to make sacrifices for the environment so the rich can continue to pollute.

A SCAM because there is no independent auditing/verification the scheme is helping the environment.
Anyone can sell carbon credits, but how can it be verified they performed the promised tasks? How much was actually spent on reducing carbon emmisions?

Screw the environment, I'm gonna carbon credit my way to becoming a billionaire!

That guy must be on a low-carb diet; his floorboard is covered in carbidue from his fast-food lunches.

Low-Carb

Low-carb is short for Low carbohydrate diet. Low-carbohydrate diets reduce the amount of carbohydrates(bread, rice, spaghett, etc.) that you eat. Foods high in carbohydrates are reduced, and replaced with foods containing a higher percentage of fat and protein, as well as low carbohydrate foods. Foods like avocados, salmon, low-carb fruits and vegetables, onions with lime and salt, tomatoes, lettuce, steak, butter, coconut oil, chicken, fish, crab, low-carb monster

energy drink, coffee sweetened with stevia or sorbitol, and more. It's also good to do excercise. Doing cardio, lifting weights, or both. Low carb is like a milder form of keto. Your body partially goes through ketosis but not fully.
I lost 25 lbs and gained muscle while on a low-carb diet and lifting weights. Cool!

Carbonite Filter

Carbon/carbonite filters are used for all sorts of purification. Lately, carbonite filters have been used on bongs. The smoke goes through the carbonite rock, removing carcinogens and other toxins, but not removing the THC. This means you won't cough as much. Regular carbon filters are replaced, while the built in Carbonite brand ones can be cleaned and maintained. It doesn't magically make more THC in your smoke, like the other definition suggests.
Stoner 1: Dude, I love this carbonite filter. It's better than my old ROOR ash catcher!
Stoner 2: Yeah man, just keep it clean.

Carbon Chauvinism

Carbon chauvinism is a relatively new term meant to disparage the assumption that extraterrestrial life will resemble life on Earth. The term was used as early as 1973, when Carl Sagan described it and other human chauvinisms that limit imagination of possible extraterrestrial life.
Scientist 1: "All forms of terrestrial life must be carbon-based."

Scientist 2: "Dude, that's carbon chauvinism...silicone is a possible building block of life. Just look at breast implants."
