However, in the firestorm age, CABAL got overloaded on tiberium vines and took on a life of his own.
The AI core now imagined that he was his own being and owed loyalty to no one. He then went medieval on both GDI and NOD, destroying evrything in his path.

Vuvuzela: Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

The Cabal is a secret hidden organization within the arena pvp scene that consists of very skilled and powerful rank one players that boost their friends which are not as good using their very high MMR so they don't lose rating to take up rank one spots at the end of a pvp season.
Its not clear who the exact members of the 'Cabal' are, but they make it significantly harder for new Gladiator players to achieve their first coveted 'rank one' title.
