A word/adjective; to descibe something that is powerful/joyful/dramatic.

Normally shouted out loud.

When Wayne Rooney scores a screamer you would shout 'boomshanks! what a goal that was.'

Or when you've just won a bet in the bookies you again would shout 'Boomshanks!'

When a boxer gets knocked out you would shout 'Boomshanks, take that!'

Derived from a childrens' song designed to tease fat people tilted "Hey Fatty Boomsticks".
Lyrics - 'Hey Fatty boomsticks...sweet sugar dumplings...just because you're so big and fat...don't think I'm afraid of that....hey fatty boomsticks....sweet sugar dumplings....
Believed to reference the size of the legs of the fat person (their sticks). Which make a boom boom sound each time they take a step - thus fatty boom sticks

Hey, fatty boomsticks, out the way, you're blocking the light (sun).

We better all get some food before boomsticks gets here or there won't be any left.

An onomatopoeic "in your face." Originally the sound of a slam-dunk in basketball -- the "boom" being the dunk, and the "shakalaka" being the rattling of the backboard.

Using a blog to broadcast something slanderous, disrespectful, scandalous or embarrassing about someone.

The President was blogsmacked around the internet today, with left-wing bloggers having a field day with his latest antics in the Oval Office.

She got fired when she was blogsmacked by a disgruntled former employee who decided to write about her prior convictions on his blog.
