Misinformation

People often already know the source of misinformation, where it's coming from. Usually the same people claiming to fight it and reveal the source of it are the ones trying to defer suspicion from themselves and what they are doing to somewhere else, to make it look like it's coming from somewhere or someone else.
Misinformation is false by nature, which is why people don't need explained to them what is true and what is false. They can determine that for themselves.

Mary knows that shy Bob likes Ann, who secretly likes Bob back. Mary likes Bob too. Bob asks Mary about her friend Ann's relationship status. Mary gives misinformation to Bob by saying she's not exactly sure if Ann is still seeing her old boyfriend. Mary knows Bob will be too shy now to clarify Ann's status with her directly.

Misinformation

Usually someone who starts a string of misinformation knows its bad information. Early settlers in North Carolina were Scots Irish, not Irish. Something seemingly minor and harmless can end up doing a lot of damage to the lives of other people though. The average black guy or girl going to work every day and living out their life wouldn't have time or a reason to know that Irish Catholics and Scots Irish are not the same people without having spent time around them, and thus would not know that Irish Catholics didn't own slaves. This allows for more ignorance of the other group, not less. Its the same ignorance as a white guy who doesn't know that not all Nigerians are the same religion (some Christian, some Muslim, some don't go to a church or a mosque at all, and so on), or that not all Muslims are terrorists. A lot of white guys go to work every day and live their lives out without having spent a lot of time around people from other groups, and don't know when they're being given a string of information, and its a good thing some do.
Lindsay wanted to continue sending out strings of misinformation to keep people from all groups on edge around each other.

Misinformation

"Misinformation" (2022's new Orwellian Doublespeak)
- Information which is banned from publication because it makes people question the official narrative.
- Information that questions the validity of the official propaganda of the day from centralized government, like the CDC.
- Information that makes the opposing party look good.
Lucky for them, the book "1984" is banned from schools for years under Obamas Common Core changes and the kids do not know that they are being played by the Big Brother of centralized and overly powerful government. DHS is now Big Brother for real thanks to Biden and his MisInformation Board.
