a servant or lackey who would rather kill his self than become a burden or hindrance to his master. more than often they will carry an object somewhere hidden on their body to carry this out. can refer to an over-the-top people pleaser.

the devoted henchman commits suicide so he doesn't dishonour the name of his master.
the devoted pussy commits suicide so he doesn't have to get a devoted ass whooping.
