Food Stamps, especially the older 'paper stamp' kind, as opposed to the new credit card type.

My cousin complained once when he was 5 about how slow the checkout lines move when the people in front of you are using 'mexican coupons'. We laughed so hard we nearly passed out, and I have never used the words 'food stamps' since.

Plot Coupons

A plot Coupon is a term used for describing lack of plot etc. from books games etc. allowing the writer/ director to do basicly any thing that would normaly have been ruled out by the situation/ charicters/ personalities, often in an idiotic, improbable or unexplainable manner.

It can also be used in real life situations for unexpected bouts of luck.

-When something is a total heartbreaker. It makes you just as sad as when you go to a restaurant and realize your coupons are all expired, and you only have enough money for a coke.
