2010s

Worst decade culturally, after coming from the 1990s and 2000s being arguably the 2 best decades ever, you would think the 2010s would also be awesome, right? WRONG!! The early 2010s weren’t great but they were the best part of the decade, so it wasn’t as bad then but since 2014+ it’s become dreadful. Music is rubbish and there aren’t really any counter-cultures and everything is too political and politically correct, Especially in the UK, it’s so dark and destroyed there now. Let’s hope the rest of the 2020s will be great (even though it probably won’t be).
Wow man the 2010s were so dead

2010s

The last decade when children frequently played outside, engaging in outdoor activities and social interactions. The onset of COVID-19 in 2020 significantly shifted this dynamic, leading to a generation of children who became accustomed to normalizing excessive time watching YouTube, making childhood no longer look the same anymore.
The 2010s were the last golden years of outdoor play; now, with the pandemic's impact, childhood is no longer the same.

2010s

The broke ass revival of the 1980s and bratty little brother of the 2000s. The 2010s economy recovers from the Great Recession and is decent (the 1990s are better overall), however underlying cultural issues develop underneath until they surface by decade's end.

It is dominated by cringey pop EDM, toilet humor of brostep, addicted smartphone users, social media junkies, the War on Terror Part Deuce, and Russia flexing its biceps in Ukraine. A stupid dance craze called jerkin' is invented, but is forgotten later on. '10s youth fashion hijacks '00s emo fashion, repurposing it into low-crotch or "gangsta" skinnies (see Skrillex or Lil Wayne during this era). Rock music takes a backseat, however indie bands persist. Hip hop gets more gimmicky in the mainstream. Justin Bieber, One Direction, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and other garbage is popular. People get addicted to smartphones and mobile apps much like crack. Social media is a soapbox for the deranged, egoists, insufferables, and all the above. Streaming services largely replace traditional media, as music releases become mostly digital and people cut the cable TV cord.

Obama is 2-term POTUS, then Trump becomes POTUS in 2016 (again in 2025 after Biden being 1-term POTUS), and MAGA movement is born. China gives the world a big Christmas "present" at the '10s finale: SARS-2 coronavirus, a.k.a COVID-19 (see 2020s for details).
Marty McFly: Doc, are we back in the 1980s?
Doc Brown: No, this is the 2010s, Marty. People have fake nostalgia for '80s music culture, but there is no love for hard rock and glam metal.
McFly: What a shame.
Doc: Hey, see that person there? He is mindlessly staring downward at a device known as a smartphone, while walking.
McFly: What does it do?
Doc: It rots your brain, distracts you, robs your sanity and life, and also spies on you. Smartphone users are also bad drivers.
McFly: Back to the Past for Me.

2010s Rap

Most of 2010s rap is just stupid garabage noise! 90% of it is just someone talking or screaming about drugs, money, or sex and use brutal auto tune. It also uses about 19 million cuss words per song. Tasteless teenagers consider that music. Well no, it’s just pathetic sound for 2010s kids who have no clue what actual music is. One of the few exceptions is NF. He’s an actually decent 2010s rapper. But a majority of it is still just talentless garbage. This genre also has the worst rapper ever, 6ix9ine.
Tasteless teenager: 2010s rap is the best type of music ever! I love all 2010s rappers!
Me: Enjoy listening to your crappy music, while I listen to real music!

2010s kid

A kid who was born from 2003-2012
2010s kids will be nostalgic for things like Minecraft, Youtube, Memes, as well as numerous Cartoon Network shows like Adventure time or Amazing World of Gumball
2010s kids grew up in an era of technology, so they’ll also be nostalgic for things like Netflix, Windows 10, maybe discord.
A lot of 2010s kids also remember the Minecraft youtuber Stampylonghead, because he was a very popular youtuber in 2013-2015.

Contrary to popular belief, 2010s kids still go outside, but also grow up with technology.
My friend is a 2010s kid. He was born in 2005. He is nostalgic for Minecraft and his favorite show as a kid was Adventure time.

2010s Culture

The culture of the 2010s. It is mostly remembered for its movies, TV shows, slang, memes, celebrities, video games, music, etc. Many people however consider the popular culture of the 2010s to be absolutely godawful. This was a time where popular music started devolving, people were using dorky slang words like 'swag', 'yolo', 'bae', 'thot', 'selfie', etc., sagging, too much political correctness, SJWs, special snowflakes, edgelords, fake celebrities who didn't deserve their fame, Americans electing Donald Trump, internet/social media obsession, flat earthers, horrendous memes, and many, many more.

But on the brightside there were many other good things about the culture. There was still some memorable and iconic media and it was mostly a time where people learned things faster because of the internet advancing, but they were still too obsessed with it and were always glued to their phones.
Imagine 30 years from now when we all look back on 2010s culture. How are we even gonna explain some of this stuff to our children? Lol. Some memes, songs, shows and slang words are gonna age terribly and I have a feeling the 2010s will be remembered as a very cheesy decade.
