The act of neutralizing a pejorative term, frequently a racial or gender-based slur, by applying it to oneself voluntarily, for example the use of the term nigga or dyke within the African-American and lesbian communities, respectively.

Ticking Time Bomb

An individual who is so clueless, reckless, stupid, or careless, that it's only a matter of time before they cause serious harm to themselves or someone around them.
Whenever you see a Toyota Corolla with it's back bumper taped together with duck tape pressed on half ass, and the front bumper straight up gone, it's a pretty safe bet that they're a ticking time bomb and they're a terrible driver who needs to be avoided at all costs.

Up-talking

When one, particularly a younger person, ends every phrase and sentence as if it were a question. This practice could be derived from the "valley girl" excuse for talking during the nineties, but many people still do it today out of uncontrollable habit.
Teacher: Okay Tommy, it's your turn to present.

Tommy: oKAY(?) I was at the STORE(?) And there was the GUY(?) and like...

Teacher: okay. NEXT.
