Contrary to popular belief Hillbillies are no smarter or dumber then a person from the city, though Hillbillies tend to enjoy the simpler pleasures in life, are laid back, have a penchant for homemade liquor, and have their own slang words.

It is a gross misconception that Rednecks and Hillbillies are one in the same, in truth they are not.

Hillbillies in short are the American version of the true Bohemian.

A Hillbilly, and a Redneck are not the same, Hillbillies, don't date family members.

Hillbilly clothes washing

is when someone takes their clothes of when it's dirty, pick off the big food bits, warm soapy rag, and scrub your stains until they come out clean. Blow dry with a hair dryer, and spray some perfume to smell good.

Person#1 Dude, i was so late for work this morning, i had to pull the ol' hillbilly clothes washing trick.

Person#2 Haha, nice.

hillbilly rich

Similar to hood rich, except involving rural whites. If you see a doule wide with a collapsing roof, but 4 new cars in the driveway, you know that you are driving by a hillbilly rich family's domicile. Just as is the case with those who are hood rich, the realities of one's personal finances is unimportant. As a result, most who are hillbilly rich have atrocious credit and have possessions repossessed frequently.

My cousins are so hillbilly rich that they cant afford to pay their electric bill. They would have had the money to, but then they bought a new Tahoe (they had to get something to replace the Mustang the repo guys came and got). I cant blame them, though, because it would be more fun to be hillbilly rich than poor.
