Soft-hedge

An uncommon strategy seen with cryptocurrency. You are hedging some token without selling the token. e.g. If I’m in for the long-term and I want to hedge against token x price going down, I can predict the price going down in the market and stake my token x. If the price does go down, I can receive additional rebase rewards from people who predicted otherwise. "Soft" is used because contrary to how leverage works, you aren’t at risk of losing your principal.

hedge fund

Not to be confused with grass money, this term refers to a separate financial account that a homeowner maintains to cover the costs of products/services to keep his shrubbery tidy and healthy.
Burglars tend to target properties with tall/dense shrubbery that they can crouch behind and hide, so you should always keep a healthy hedge fund to ensure that your bushes stay trimmed and transparent.

Hedge

Used to describe something that is incredibly cool, awesome, or impressively epic. Inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog, the term conveys speed, style, confidence, and undeniable coolness.
Coined by a linguistic genius who realized Sonic isn’t just fast—he’s hedge. Because being hedge means being on another level.
• “Bro, that move was so hedge!”
• “Did you see her outfit? Totally hedge.”
• “My dad fixed the car with duct tape and confidence. Absolute hedge.”
• “This song is hedge—put it on repeat.”
