Taffy Pockets

Slang; cheap, broke.
The act of placing your hands in your pockets to grab money yet your hands never come out. Almost as if your hands are stuck inside your pockets - hence, taffy pockets.

Our whole family went out for dinner tonight to catch up on old times. Once the bill came uncle Mark came down with a case of taffy pockets. Grandma ended up paying the whole bill.

A hot pocket side dish is the food parts that boil out over the sides of a hot pocket when you microwave it for too long. It is a great compliment to the main course as the hot pocket side dish cools off faster than the tasty goop inside the pocket.

Not to be confused with hot pocket side jawn

When I was 15 my uncle Ricky showed me how to make an East Texas Hot Pocket, I went straight home and tried it! I didn't leave my room for three days and that was only to go into town to the Piggly Wiggly and steal more bologna!
