Being locked out or excluded. Opposite of incarcerated (being locked in). Normally used when you are excluded from a social group or a relationship. But can include getting locked out of your house.

In the end, they somehow win and defeat the villain (Dr. Eggbottle) even though Cody was an outcast, he won the battle.
