Humanity

Humanity is a collection of people the primary characteristics of which are: narcissism, as people are very self centered and rarely willing to give any acclaim to any other species whatsoever. A second characteristic is poor selection of leadership, where most animals select leaders based on merit humans tend towards inheritance of titles. A tertiary characteristic is violence, while animals are often thought of as more violent or creativity lends well to destruction, such as the invention of nuclear weapons and the creation of armies of millions. A fourth characteristic of humanity is misconceived uniqueness, thinking that they are the only species on the earth with complex social hierarchies, with traditions and with culture of any sort. There are many more possible characteristics but these are a few of the more important.

Our species is that of humanity and it is both great and wretched.

A Knights Humility

What a mid-evil-times knight experiences after being bested in battle. Something knights seek as a way of finding someone worthy enough for them to serve. A knight without humility is a knight without a banner to ride under. What king Arthur teaches Lancelot in Excalibur. The General breaking, humbling, or humiliation of a being, after which they realize they are not invincible and learn their place in the world and respect for others who can, and will, stand them on their head. Similar to what the TV show Bully Beatdown tries to teach the undisciplined. An experence better learned sooner in life while stakes are low, rather than adulthood, when other people will not meet Insolence with patience.
