Amera

An 'Amera' is a classification of pseudo-British kiwi. Amera tend to be reclusive and aggressive to other breeds of kiwi. There are many subspecies of Amera, these include: Americanis Goffik, Americanis Fancymanis, Americanis Grungies & Americanis Gingis (now believed to be extinct). Despite spending the majority of their time in their burrows because of their sensitivity to light Ameras tend to fear being in total darkness. If an Amera dose not shed its heavy winter coat come summer it is likely to die of heat stroke. Scientists are baffeled by the nutrient deficient diet Ameras somehow survive on. Amera is an endangered species that has made many a house cat fat.

The word Amera can be abbreviated as "mera" "meh" or "err".

Amerasian

A person with an American Serviceman, either Civilian or Military, of ANY ethnicity or nationality for a father and an Asian or Pacific islander for a mother; the offspring, child or direct descendant of such a relationship, whether married or unmarried. Also: in very rare occasions the genders of the parents may be reversed, i.e. the product of an American servicewoman and Asian male.

Literally, American + Asian = Amerasian

average atomic mass

The weighted average of the atmoic masses of the naturally occuring isotopes of an element.

Suppose you had a box of marbles that contain 2 sizes of marbles. If 25% of the marbles have the massses of 2.00g each and 75% have the masses of 3.00g each then the average atomic mass would look like this.
(25 marbles x 2.00g = 50g)+(75 marbles x 3.00g = 225g) = 275g / 100 = (an average atomic mass of) 2.75g.
