Cybergatory

That part of cyberspace where emails go after being sent and before being delivered, usually not for long, but on occasion, unnaturally long.
"I sent you those files 10 minutes ago and you still haven't gotten them?!"
"Not yet, they must be hanging out in cybergatory."

cybernutting

Cybernutting is when you call the name of someone whose name or username is similar to a sound, then claiming you weren't seeking their attention.
Cyrenux: Meow! Meow!
Meow: What?
Cyrenux: Meow!
Meow: What do you want?
Cyrenux: I'm not talking to you. I'm meowing.
Meow: Shut up, Cybernuts. Stop Cybernutting.

Cyberjazz

Cyberjazz, a music genre coined by musician Solene Velvet.

The genre tends to have a lo-fi like feel with a jazzy style rhythm, described to be glamourous and nostalgic like Noir music, yet futuristic and fits nicely with the Cyberpunk style.
My favourite music genre has to be cyberjazz.
Have you heard the cyberjazz genre?

Cybernetic Theory

A framework originating from Norbert Wiener and colleagues that studies control, communication, and feedback in systems—biological, mechanical, social, and computational. Cybernetic theory focuses on how systems regulate themselves through loops, how information flows, and how complex behavior emerges from simple rules. It’s foundational to artificial intelligence, systems theory, and robotics, but also influences management theory, economics, and psychology. Core concepts include feedback, homeostasis, emergence, and the cyborg as a hybrid of organism and machine.
Example: “Cybernetic theory explained how a thermostat maintains temperature, how a nervous system regulates body functions, and how a market might self-correct—all through feedback loops.”

Cybernetic Science

The discipline that applies cybernetic principles to understand and design systems. It encompasses control theory, information theory, systems biology, robotics, and AI. Cybernetic science investigates how systems self‑organize, how to design robust control mechanisms, and how to model complex adaptive systems. It often blurs the boundaries between natural and artificial, treating both as information-processing systems. The field has applications in engineering, neuroscience, ecology, and even social policy.
Example: “Cybernetic science helped design the Mars rover’s autonomous navigation—using feedback loops to adapt to unknown terrain without real‑time human control.”
