When a band gets too much money and plays music for the money, not their original fans. The band usally also starts playing a different type of music such as pop to appeal to a larger audience. As a result they make more money.

Bands such as Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Simple Plan, and many more are sellouts.
