when you have an object, or food and you mess with it to the point that it is unrecognizible as the thing it was before .
so say you have a sandwich and you prod,pick and poke at it so that it does not look like anything, that means you have marmalized the sandwich.

An anime/manga where the parents of the two main characters, Miki and Yuu, swap partners and remarry, and they all live under one roof. Miki and Yuu begin hating hating each other, then grow to like each other and go out, then think they might be related, then end up not being. Oh, and everyone plays tennis.

While descending Yamnuska, Scott and Eric were puzzled at the sight of a strange animal. They later learned it was a marmot.
