interiorization

A byzantine display of hallways, stairs, rooms, and walls within 1950's noir films. On the first degree, a visual metaphor for the existential horror of modernism. Modernism as a labyrinth or maze representing the futility of man's self-created choices; a system in which all choices are ultimately identical; a false freedom; fatalism. The concept that human-created systems--modernism (industrialization)--cannot civilize man; and offer him unsustainable (inauthentic) progress. The concept that man cannot save himself. On the second degree, a metaphor for the idea that modernism is more indicative of man than man is of modernism; that man's authentic essence is that of a heart of darkness. Presaged the onset of postmodernism.

Interiorization is a deep visual metaphor that indicates man cannot willfully create unique existential choices, material progress is a false dichotomy from man's 'true' essence, modernism deludes human beings into the perception of false progress; the essence of man is a heart of darkness (Joseph P. Conrad); and modernism is more an indictment of man than man is a representative of the progress of modernism.

International Baccalaureate

The small cult-like group of students who are involved in the International Baccalaureate program. Laugh at the bags under their eyes and insane amount of homework now, but your sorry ass will be working for one of these guys in the near future. The near future for an IB kid is not so near, though. Having several hours worth of homework doesn't exactly make the time fly. Because of this, they have extensive knowledge about useless topics, for example :Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is the fear of long words. If you are currently an IB student, you would laugh at the irony of such a fact. Then youd quickly realize how this program made you lose your marbles. But you probably never had any if you willingly signed up for IB in the first place.

the international Baccalaureate kids would kill themselves, but they just dont have the time.

Intrusive thoughts

Terrible thoughts that are repetitive and could come into your mind at any time without a warning. Also referred to as “Devil's Whispers”. A common symptom of OCD, but not always is. It easily convinces everyone around you that you’re going insane.

Someone 1: *Gets a panic attack*
Someone 2: “U good?”
Someone 1: “Nope. I had that same stupid intrusive thought for the 100th time today”
Someone 2: “Just be positive and your intrusive thoughts will go away”

As you can see, “Someone 2” has no idea what an intrusive thought is, and thinks it’s controllable.
