East Alton

A small town in Illinois a pissing distance away from St. louis. Its made up of a bunch of wannabe black people who are now getting there asses kicked by real black people that are moving in from Alton. there are the occasional skater/biker kids around but no-one pays attention to them so they turned emo. We do have a school team called the "OILERS"...oiler colors are moroon and gold(gay) but at least there not Red and Blue....our sports teams think there all bad ass but in reallity the only team we beat is the shells, but thats not saying much. The one fun thing East Alton people do is go to wal-mart and walk around trying to find people they know then on the way home buy a humdinger and hitting some poor defensless person on the side of the road with it probably giving them a concussion, but who gives a fuck we're from East Alton!

alterboy

One who aids the clergy in their rituals, by bringing certain items to the table, or carrying the book for them to read. Of recent years, altergirls have been allowed as well.

Despite what everyone says, alterboys are just there to help, as one priest cannot do everything himself. Sometimes there may be a deacon to help when no alterboys are present, but this is not always the case. An astounding 0 reports, suspicions, and accusations combined of alterboy molestation have come to pass in my Church's history.

Considering I WAS an alterboy for two years and was not once molested, I think I'm well experienced to say so.

altie newspaper

A newspaper or magazine that is a smaller alternative to more mainstream, "credible" papers. It's often local, providing inside dirt on things going on in a particular city or area. Sometimes, such as in the case of The Onion, it's published online (however, the Onion is satire as opposed to an actual news source). Some things reported in these papers are not taken seriously, but they often cover important stories bigger papers won't touch. Often liberal in nature, they will also often publish some awesome comics such as Tom Tommorow's "This Modern World" or Derf's "The City." However, these papers, are not meant for a family audience. While usually free, they pay for this by running a lot of sex ads and other inappropriate stuff.

"I wanted to find out about some local bands and read "The City", so I got a free copy of my local altie newspaper."
