Naruto effect

A anime trope in which a character is given tremendous power they are unaware of, then learn to use said power. (ie. Nastu Dragneel being a demon of Zerefs books, Kirito's sword made of the giga-cedar being able to grow, ect.)

I started a new anime yesterday and the main character has a serious case of the Naruto effect.

Bertram From the Disney Show “Jessie” never has good things happening to him but only to other people.

Having to deal with your mother in law is one of the biggest side effects of marriage.
