Neighbor hatin' is when a person is playing their stereo, surround sound system, or TV at a high volume level, playing a loud musical instrument, like the drums, or just being extremely loud in general, to the point of disturbing the neighbors. Neighbor hatin' is usually done between 11:30p and 4:30a. Neighbor hatin' can also include, lighting fireworks, throwing a party, or revving the engine of a car or truck with a loud exhaust system.

Shawn: So what'd you get into this weekend?

Tim: I threw a huge going away party at my house for friend of mine at work. We got tore up and had the stereo up loud as hell. Dude, we were neighbor hatin' til like, 4 in the morning.
