Commonly confused with the word smart, the difference is: A smoot person could not tell you the answer to 1+1 but they could tell you (in extreme detail) how to build a hydrogen reactor. On the other hand a smart person knows all their times tables and is just smart in general.

1. (noun) A meme, exploitable, edit, or simply image that could only come from that one friend in the group you know nothing about. They've never shown their face, they're always muted in voice call, and you're like 85% sure they're an Eldritch horror of some kind. But you keep them around because every joke is the funniest thing you'll ever see.
2. (noun) The Eldritch horror that creates said images.
3. (verb) "to smoet"; post an image that matches the criteria above
Originally a misspelling of smort, which is in and of itself is a misspelling of smart.

1. That joke is a top 5 smoet of all time. How is that random guy so funny all the time?
2. That random guy is the smoet of our group. He won't tell us his name and I think he's wanted by Interpol.
