Thanksgiving

This is an American holiday, where kids get to take off from school, and adults get to take off from work so they can sit on their fat ass', and eat. Yet, they disguise their lazyness by saying they are taking off, to give thanks for what they have. They also watch football on this day.
Little Lazy Boy sitting on a couch with turkey in his mouth.. "I'm so thankful for Thanksgiving!"

Thanks for sharing

An example of the rhetorical trope of LITOTES (understatement), This is the delicate response one gives to someone who, in a group setting, suddenly blurts out information which is extremely personal, unusually revealing, and possibly unique to that individual. It comes from settings like group psychological counseling or 12-step groups, in which such highly personal testimonies are followed by the Moderator's cool "thanks for sharing." said smoothly-- no matter how disturbing or shocking or incredible was the confession that preceded it. This catchphrase may well have originated from the 1980's TV sitcom, BOB, which starred comedian Bon Newhart as a psychiatrist.
12-step member: "Hi, My name is Marcia."

Group: "Hi, Marcia."

Marcia: I just want to say I'm glad I'm here tonight, I'm a child of incest, I'm a heroin addict and I just murdered my husband"

Moderator: (Smiling benignly, completely calmly) Thanks for sharing, Marcia.

No Thanks!

thanks for rolling with a brother

A phrase used to thank someone for going somewhere or hanging out. The phrase was coined by a shock jock out of D.C. named Elliott. The proper response to this phrase is "thanks for letting a brother roll"
As Marc got in his truck to leave he said "Thanks for rolling with a brother", Jason in return said "Thanks for letting a brother roll".

Thanksalopolis

Thanks. Thank you. Thanks a lot. Thank you very very much. A crazy creative mixed word version of Thank you. Mix between Thanks a lot + Metropolis = Thanksalopolis! Can be used as a Saracastic 'thanks a Lot' or Not. just make sure 'party #2' knows in what way you're using it. Originated in a Text Message... and maybe that's where it should stay. just sayin'...
dude 1: "Dude! you Killed at the Battle of the Bands last night!"

dude 2: "Thanksalopolis."

Thanksgiving

The day white people celebrate being thankful for the land stolen from NATIVE Americans. A day soon to be stolen from everyone by Walmart.
Let us Native Americans be thankful for the white mans food stamps; so we can eat on this day of thanksgiving. Let us also remember the land that we once fed our families from.
