The Nintendo Generation includes anybody born from the mid 80's to the mid 90's. So called because we grew up with Nintendos and Segas.
One of the highlights of our younger years was the console wars, when Nintendo ans Sega were in contention for market supremacy.
The Nintendo Generation can be defined by out reminiscing over classic TV shows that the children today will never know of. Ours is the lucky, the chosen, the few, with the glory days of gaming, wrestling, TV, and for the most part, music.
We grew up on such classic movies as Jurassic Park, The Matrix (Before it sucked), the Ernest series, Waynes World, Austin Powers, Independence day, and Dumb and Dumber.
My favorite cartoons were, and this is an abbreviated list, Dexters Lab, Invader Zim, Gundam Wing, Dragonball Z, Biker Mice from Mars, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Gargoyles, Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, Ninja Turtles, onic the Hedgehog....
Yeah I miss my shows...

Get the Nintendo Generation. mug.Todays teenagers. Growing up with too much information being pushed upon them, usually about DEATH and THE WORLD ENDING. Thus making them constantly ask "WHY?" as their addiction to information becomes stronger.

"well this planet's fucked lets see if we can find another one to live on"
"studies show that being healthy ISN'T REALLY AS HEALTHY AS YOU THINK!"

Get the generation y mug.Related Words
An entire generation of children born in the early 60s to early 80s, now adults in their 20s-40s. No set timeframe can be agreed upon as some claim that children actually born in the 1980s are not Gen-Xers. The traditional timeframe for Gen-Xers has been said to be 1961-1981 by sociologists but others have proposed timeframes such as 1960-1970, 1965-1975, 1965-1977, 1964-1982, 1970-1983, and 1961-1984.

Get the generation X mug.D-Generation X, or DX for short, was a WWE Faction consisting of "The Game" Triple H, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, X-Pac, "The Road Dogg" Jesse James, "The Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, and Chyna (R.I.P). In my opinion, the best WWE faction EVER. And to quote Triple H, " if you're not down with that, I got two words for ya!" Crowd shouts, "SUCK IT!!!!!!!!"
One of the best D-Generation X moments ever is this. Mr. McMahon trying to talk, Triple H then says "Vince? If you think we can embarrass you any further, watch this." And then the DX theme plays, and the titantron shows Vince McMahon and the Spirit Squad getting covered in SHIT!

Get the D-Generation X mug.A phenomenon where a generation of humans makes the same crippling decisions as the generation before them. Examples include: 1) having kids, because your parents, aunts, uncles and most everyone else in your family had them, most likely at an early age, thus minimizing their chance to live a life they actually wanted and now are living a life to serve their offspring. And your parents are pressuring you for grandchildren, even though you are barely making ends meet for yourself, what with working full time and being a full-time student.
2) Not saving for a retirement, rainy day, etc. Instead, you spend your money on a new pair of shoes every month, clothes, Amazon, eBay, and thinking paying $2600 for a one bedroom apartment for the rest of your life is OK. When you find yourself unemployed and broke, you lame everyone but yourself.

Sean just can't stop having kids. 28 years old and already he has 4 kids with 3 different women. This generational curse is going to leave him just like his dad: living paycheck to paycheck, making just enough to get by, trying to feed a small army of his offspring.

Get the Generational Curse mug.Generation Dead is a young adult romance/supernatural novel by Daniel Waters. I follows a girl named Phoebe and her best friends, Margi and Adam, whose world has been left baffled by a strange phenomenon...dead teenagers not staying dead. For reasons unknown, a small number of the teenage dead are returning to 'life'. They lack a heartbeat and all other traditional life-signs, but are capable of thought, movement and speech (to varying extents). They are widely feared by the living, despite the fact that they do not present a threat, but Phoebe finds herself attracted to Tommy Williams, one of the "living impaired" teens at her school.
Did you read Generation Dead? I thought that it portrayed issues of prejudice in modern day society very well.
