Phone-Baiting 

In a discussion, the act of threatening to call another person in an attempt to get the other person to retract their story (often an uncreative, mostly unsuccessful, last ditch attempt for the threatening party).
James: Hey, so i got into an argument with my girlfriend and tried Phone-Baiting her.

Tom: Aww, dude. That's lame. Did it work?

James: Nope. She did leave me though.

(n.) A vehicle which has been modified by law enforcement agencies to detain any person trying to steal (or jack) it. Usually fitted with an engine immobiliser or remote steering device, concealed cameras and door locks which can be locked by remote. A baitcar does not violate anti-entrapment law as the individual is not enticed into stealing the vehicle.

When a politician, pundit, or other public figure brings up the completely irrelevant detail about a person's sexuality, true or untrue, as a way of subtly channeling homophobia to attack them.

Fan-baiting 

When producers, actors, or studios intentionally provoke or antagonize their audiences in order to generate publicity, create artificial controversy, or deflect genuine criticism, especially in cases of new and expensive productions.
"Amazon is fan-baiting by calling everyone who criticizes Rings of Power racists."
"Didn't Star Wars do the same thing with Kenobi?"
