Big Tech

Coined by President Donald Trump, refers to social media and internet-based companies such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google and their (potential) abuse of power. These companies have platforms that are very popular. Thus, have the ability to swap public opinions by means of censoring and promoting certain topics.

Guy: Yo I just got banned from Reddit for saying pineapple doesn't belong on pizza after Spez said we have to accept different opinions.

Tech Lag

The feeling theatre kids/stage people feel after a theatre production closes. After a long tech week and hard work put into a show, tech lag is what the cast experiences when the show finishes and they finally get to rest, à la jet lag.

Theatre Kid #1: “Oh man, I am really feeling techlagged now that Pippin has closed. Running Simple Joys 50 times in rehearsal really weighed on me.”
Theatre Kid #2: “I’m feeling more post-show depression myself, but that tech lag is gonna kick in tomorrow, I know it.”

Tech

Can be seen as short for technicality or technical foul. This is when a situation is used against a party that would then indicate the foul play imposed against them. The most common form of “throwing a tech” is when a female still talks to her baby’s father in a romantic or confidential way despite being in a relationship with you being her man in this instance.

This umbrellas all instances of shiest. Can also be restated when someone does something hurtful but makes it as if they did not intent to hurt, embarrass, or mislead you.

The ****** tryna put me out the crib for the other *****. She tried to say I hit her despite knowing I would never do anything to hurt her. Now the police on the way....come get me bro before I go to jail. This ***** dun through the tech to take me out the game.

A person who knows stuff about computers, sorta. The sort of guy to look up how to fix a blue screen and claim he's a borderline genius.

He talks about disk partitions like he's the hot shit, but that tech-savvish nerd learned that on the Microsoft forums.
