Stage name of Frank Tovey in the late 70's and early 80's. One of the best men to ever exist in that time. A tall, skinny and sexy singer with an amazing deep voice and was an absolute madman of a performer onstage. Influenced bands like Depeche Mode. Sick stuff, check him out.

Douche fad

A thing, idea, or whatever that is done/used only because other people do it. Douche fad is used as a negative term, because it implies that people that are part of a douche fad cannot think for themselves or be themselves.

If you see a lot of people doing one thing that really annoys you, and can see that if only one person did it it would make that person look like a total idiot, it is probably a douche fad.

Understand that not all fads are douche fads. "That's what she said" is not because if used properly, it is genuinely funny. Other fads are cool too.

Examples of douche fads include:

Wearing your pants so low your boxers/thong is showing

Using overly used words like "awkward" (<--especially when it is misused) and "creeper". "Ignorant" also fits into this category

It suddenly gets very popular for about 1 month then gets out of fashion.

When somebody does something on facebook that is in essence cool but is done so frequently by so many people in such little time that it becomes redundant. Facebook Fads include notes and tag your friend pictures.

internet fad 

Any fad that starts off on the internet and recieves minor, temporary interest from the tabloid press. Such examples are the paris hilton video, all your base are belong to us, back orifice, child pornography, paedophilia/pedophilia, 14 year old hackers taking down the national grid or stealing money from credit cards etc.

Due to the fact that most regular internet users are jack-off morons with a lust for gratuitous sex/gratuitous violence or other gratuitous shit, internet fads tend to be very ghey.
