moral defeat

term introduced in a Bill Simmons mailbag to describe a situation in which a vastly superior team or group completely underperforms, sinks to the level of their inferior opponent, and barely emerges victorious.
When New England needed overtime to beat the lowly Detroit Lions, Bill Belichick considered this to be a moral defeat and promptly ass-raped his offensive line.

Moral High Ground

Acting like you're so moral while shitting on someone else despite them not doing shit to you.
"Dominic typed in 'sigh' as he was doing a pointless circlejerk against some guy's pictures that he deliberately searched for for having colors that he himself normally didn't use, acting as if he had the Moral High Ground as he himself was in a pit."

Moral Values

Phrase often used to belittle others while smugly asserting superior morality, gained popularity during Clinton impeachment trial by Republicans.

Most often used by outraged Republicans against Democrats as in implying "I would never do that!" or "how could you!"

It's standard meaning is "Hypocrisy"
Senator Ensign (R) Governor Sanford (R) Both lectured President Clinton on "moral values" they felt having a girlfriend was sending a terrible message to the world. Called on him to resign for his shameful behavior.

They were so shocked they needed to know all the details!! What they did with all that scandalous information...well you know.

Moral Crusader

Someone who uses a large set of morals to judge and humiliate others in an attempt of making one self appear more "mature" and "masculine" or "tough".
Sample extracted from real conversation:
Random Person: Why are old people trying to shove food down their grandchildren's throats??? Even if said children are somewhat overweight or simply do not want you lovable folks to give them the food off of your plates?

Moral Crusader: Because, chances are, if your grandparents are almost 100 then they lived through the great depression. If not, they were raised by someone who very recently did. ALL the shit you take for granted: the over abundance of food, the value of our currency, our place in the international community, our advancements in medical science and technology, NONE of that shit existed back then until over 40 million people died and America found itself the winner of a war that left us the only ones undestroyed. So now chances are if your grandparents are immigrants who lived through that crisis, or raised by someone who were, simple things like finishing your plate (because you don't know when you're gonna have another) would be second nature.

Count your blessings, kid. Stop and really open your eyes and look at what your country is and how it fits into this planet and what you have as a result. Not just what you are told, truly understand.

Moral Crusader

1.A person who always tries to "right" a situation and in the end just ends up being a total asshole. 2. A person who tries to prove everyone else wrong in order to uphold their skewed position.
Person 1: "Anyone want to go see this show?"

Person 2:"Of course, how much is it and when is it?"

Person 1: "Oh wait, this is too expensive. Never mind. I'll just go by myself then because I doubt other people would care enough to pay this amount of money."

Moral Crusader:"I think that is wrong to say you already bought a ticket and you don't want other people to go because you're already afraid of them rejecting before you said the price. You asked, so now you've gotta deal with it. And as for the price, don't say nevermind, don't go, you won't get a chance for a ticket because they sell out even though I got one already and they're expensive, implied, making it so they wont wanna go, so you, once again, aren't rejected. If they wanna go, they'll go. If not, ok. But this was quite pointless if you were just gonna end up saying those things."

Moral Victories

What Alabama fans claim after they lose a football game.
Don't worry guys about getting blasted by Florida and then getting embarrassed by Utah in our bowl game because they are both moral victories.
