2. To exhibit contrary, undesirable, nerve-damaging behavior on a consistent basis so as to repell versus attract as would one with an effervescent personality.
3. A state of being that can be “brought about” via someone or circumstance that “gets on your nerves.”

Well, I TRIED to speak, but APPARENTLY somebody is feeling a bit HEIFERvescent!

heiffort

A measure of how much a dude tried to land a "willing" female.

Given the sexual revolution and the popularity/acceptability of said debauchery due in part to the "free love" movement of the 1970's, it is indeed often true that a lot less heiffort is required nowadays for a guy to "land" one or more submissive chicks who will "surrender the goods" to him. However, said "steamy romances" are often short-lived once the initial desire-crazed "high" wears off, since the depth of sincere loving feelings and innocent romanticism of yesteryear is largely lost on newer generations, where the focus and aspirations of dating are more in the context of attaining speedy consummation, not so much in developing deep and genuine attraction between two people.
