A drink popularised by it's namesake in the Marquee pub, Norwich, in late 2003. Basically a Smirnoff Ice with a shot of blackcurrant cordial in the top. Ideal for those who have spent the past year sober and need breaking in gently.

Customer: "I'll have a Verlaine please."
Barman: "Do you mean you'd like a drink or you'd like to do Verlaine?"
Customer: "Both."
Bartender: "Good call."
