a console conceived because sony saw nintendo's success and decided to solely throw them off tha handheld market. sure, the psp's graphics are good, but games are exactly that, games. you play games, not look at them, so shouldnt gameplay be more important than graphics. people who buy a psp say no. people who buy a ds say yes. people who buy both wasted their money.

Sony's attempt at the handheld market, previously dominated by Nintendo's many different cloned variations of the Gameboy and its new gimicky gameboy with a touchscreen known as the Nintendo DS.
There is a fanboyism surrounding Nintendo's effect on the handheld market that has many people discriminating against the PSP. To be frank, the DS and the PSP CAN co-exist in peace as long as the masses understand this:
DS Users are like Pimps.
PSP Users are like badasses.
Where the DS is a handheld being held down by it's predominantly childish manufacturers, the PSP is a handheld for adult gamers. We're growing up, and unless Mario starts hitting stuff with a blunt object, we're moving on.

HEY DICKS! m pissed that ur trash talking this amasing portable device. my shithole of a school let us out for 4 days for spring break in which i gathered all my pennys and bought me a psp. i was originally gunna get an ipod but i heard from a friend, John Capinmyasshole, that this PSP would rock. so i got it the day it came out and i must say, as a person who was mildley exited when the ds came out, and who has never played a video game for more than 1 hours straight, this thing rox. so far, in 4 days, with one game (need for speed underground rivals) i have logged a total race time (racing, not menu just full on throttle racing) of 9 and 1/2 hours. the graphics are as good if not better than the ps2 and i dont have any cracked lcd crystals. also, my battery lasts an average of 7 hours using it, not just sitting it on a table with the power on, i mean racing or looking at pics or watching SPIDERMAN 2, or rocking out to music or watching internet movies. 19.45 thumbs up

As someone who actually owns a PSP I will tell you that it rocks. The DS doesn't even hold a candle to the PSP. I can't speak about other peoples problems, but it lasts for six hours, there is no problem with disks popping out, and the graphics are closer to ps2 than psone. Anyone debating which handheld to buy should decide whether the want a gimmicky toy, or a full on portable entertainment center.

CAN play movies with special device
Graphics CAN be better than PSP
Easy to play
2 million more sales than PSP
Better battery life.

The only reason DS fans insult PSP is because PSP fanboys insult the DS.
